About the Project

Yurika Telecommunications – part of EQL (Energy Queensland) mining clients were exploring connectivity solutions for the mine sites within the state of Queensland. Initial priorities included fibre connectivity and 4G wireless connectivity to each of the clients mining locations.

Yurika Telecommunications commissioned a review and recommendation report by VirtuGrp of all existing and new EQL asset infrastructure to support the clients requirements.

Overview

The purpose of the report was to identify the potential use of existing or new Yurika (EQL) assets to support an Open Access Network solution, to provide new or enhanced coverage at the selected mining locations requested by their clients.

Approach

As part of the analysis VirtuGrp in partnership with Yurika covered keys areas such as:

  • Existing Connectivity Infrastructure;
  • Customers Objectives;
  • Radio Coverage and Performance Designs;
  • Connectivity Designs;
  • New Infrastructure and solution requirements;
  • Delivery Planning;
  • Cost analysis.
